Probably not, we looked at this ingredient over two years ago, and have found no solid science that it works on the skin; the real research was done internally. It's an anti-oxidant that has shown some benefits taken internally similar to COQ10. It is being marketed by Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox. The recommended percentage in a cream is 1%. A recent test did show that the women being tested showed an improvement of 29% improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, (Nayad showed on 150 women that it improved fine lines and wrinkles by 52% and Matrixyl by 68%. We are also working with a new ingredient that is 119% more effective than Matrixyl). A 26% reduction in roughness and a 40% increase in hydration. As an anti-oxidant, it was effective between 95-98%, and Pycnogenol was in the same range. Alpha Lipoic Acid finished last in the clinicals. This is another example of why Elysee doesn’t jump on the "latest ingredient" bandwagon. As I've stated many times, Alpha Lipoid Acid is effective internally, but on the skin the benefits are more a myth. Idebenone was used in Europe to treat symptoms of Alzheimer's disease; in liquid solutions, it is being tested as a way to preserve human organs before transplant operations. It is more effective in preventing cell damage linked to aging and wrinkles than five other antioxidants; vitamin C, vitamin E, CoQ10, Kinetin and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Its final score was 95 out of 100, Vitamin E scored at 80, Kinetin (68), COQ10 (55) , Vitamin C (52), and Alpha Lipoic Acid ranked the lowest at (41). Pycnogenol ranked 96. The highest marks overall went to Beta-1-3-6 Glucan from the cellular wall of Bakers Yeast. Elysee's Nayad. Idebenone reduced sun damage by 38-45% (depending on what magazine the study was published in), Nayad by 60%. You will pay more for a product with Idebenone than you will for any Elysee Product with Pycnogenol and Nayad in one. Based on these facts why would we add it?
